Experimental Perfume Making Workshop
Treehouse NDSM, Amsterdam

A two-hour workshop on scent composing, where participants learned to make their own alcohol-based perfume, either to wear or to use in their own creative work, and went home with a scent of their own.

The workshop was also a research setting for my Research Master: how can scent making function as an artistic research method that produces embodied and relational knowledge? It started with collective smelling, without names or explanations, letting everyone meet the materials on their own terms, before we started composing together.
